Gregor Eichele

    

Born on September 10, 1952 in Basel, Switzerland. Study of chemistry and molecular biology, doctorate Basel University (1980), postdoctorate studies University of California, San Francisco in developmental biology (1981-1984), member of the Faculty of Harvard University School of Medicine (Molecular Physiology and Biophysics), Boston/USA (1985-1990) and of the Baylor College of Medicine (Biochemistry and Neurobiology) Houston/USA (1991-1998), Director and Scientific Member at the Max Planck Institute of Experimental Endocrinology (since 1997), Director and Scientific Member at the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry (since 2006). In 2020 Georg Eichele became Emeritus Director and continues his research with his Emeritus Group Genes and Behavior.
