Gender Equality
MPI-NAT has set itself the goal of implementing the Max Planck Society's principles of gender equality at all levels in order to ensure an optimal working atmosphere and to enable the development of the full potential of all employees. Gender equality officers advise the institute on general equal opportunity issues and assist in the development and implementation of the gender equality plan.
We are also happy to provide confidential one-on-one advice on the topics of gender equality and work-life balance. We offer workshops on a regular basis.

Policy of the Max Planck Society against sexualized Discrimination, Harassment and Violence
The gender equality officers advise and help with all further steps, if desired. Especially in serious cases, we also advise external counseling, e.g. the Emergency Help for Women in Göttingen (next paragraph).
Contact and reporting points
Conflicts are often multi-layered and are usually not based on just one issue, such as gender. Accordingly, various counseling and mediation centers together can be most effective for finding a solution. Here you can find an overview of possible contact points in the MPS.
