I am an evolutionary biologist with training in molecular developmental biology and comparative morphology. My main scientific interest is the macroevolution of Spiralia, the large animal clade that includes flatworms but also annelids, mollusks, and many other fascinating, yet often neglected, invertebrates. In the past, I studied the morphology of diverse microscopic animals, such as gnathostomulids or rotifers, as well as the development of brachiopods, phoronids, and nemerteans. I worked in Worsaae lab (University of Copenhagen) and Hejnol lab (University of Bergen), where I obtained my master's and doctoral degrees, respectively. In April 2021 I joined Rink lab to study head regeneration in catenulids, microscopic platyhelminths that represent the sister group to all the remaining flatworms. This work will hopefully shed new light on the evolution of head regeneration mechanisms in flatworms.
