Reinhard Jahn

Born on December 21, 1950 in Leverkusen/Germany. Study of biology and chemistry, doctorate at University of Göttingen (1981), postdoctoral fellow at Yale University and Rockefeller University (1983-1985), assistant professor at Rockefeller University (1985-1986), junior research group leader at the Max Planck Institute of Psychiatry (1986-1991), Associate Investigator at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and Associate/Full Professor for Pharmacology and Cell Bbiology at Yale University School of Medicine (1991-1997), Director at the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry (1997-2018), adjunct professor at the University of Göttingen (since 2001), President of the University of Göttingen (2019-2020), Emeritus director (2018-).
