Land-planarias in the large rainforest-hall at the Zoo of Leipzig

During my vacation I had the privilege to search for land-planarias in the large rainforest-hall Gondwanaland, belonging to the Zoo of Leipzig.

What came out as the result of this exciting planaria-hunt were four specimens belonging to three different species. A good insight about their needs for constant keeping was also obtained during the trip.

As for now all of the caught specimens go through quarantine in customized enclosures with selected foods for each species, a life every land-planaria would certainly enjoy. (Til Schubert)
