Debojit Saha

Debojit started his scientific career at St. Xavier’s University in India where he completed his undergraduate studies. Thereafter, he obtained his master’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Hyderabad where he carried out a master thesis identifying TRPC6 channel as an emerging determinant of podocyte cell injury in kidney diseases. He then moved to Göttingen to join the MSc/PhD International Max Planck Research School for Molecular Biology. During his thesis work in the Schuh lab, he studied regulation of transcription activity with meiotic maturation of mammalian oocytes. Debojit is now pursuing his PhD in the Schuh lab investigating the molecular mechanisms underlying meiosis progression in mammalian oocytes.
