The institute offers several free language courses in German and English. The language courses are open to all members of the Göttingen Max Planck Institutes. More information can be found on our intranet. more

There are several strong networks at the institute, in Göttingen, and within the Max Planck Society to support exchange and communication. Among them are the PhD / Postdoc Community, the Junior Faculty Network, and the Facility Network. more

The Communication and Media team issues press releases and information on events and other activities at regular intervals, publishes the institute magazine, and supports researchers in communicating their results to the public. more

Information of public transport, bus lines, and schedules can be found on the GöVB website. Institute employees can purchase a company subscription to use public transport giving them a discount of around 18 percent on the normal rate at all price levels. In addition, employees can use the institute's e-bikes for business trips free of charge. more

The office for research support provides information and advice on funding opportunities, current calls for proposals, and further supports the search for specific funding opportunities and the submission of applications. more
