I obtained my B.Sc. in Biochemistry in Göttingen and am currently part of the IMPRS “Molecular Biology” M.Sc./PhD Program. My broader scientific interests lie in protein biochemistry and the structural biology of molecular machines. I am excited to join Sonja Lorenz’s lab for my master’s thesis and to learn more about ubiquitin biology. Specifically, I will work on the ubiquitin ligase HACE1 together with postdoc Dr. Blanca Banos and am looking forward to learning many new methods. In my free time, I can usually be found at the university sports centre, trying out different dance styles, or spending time with friends.
