The Rink Department hosted the 16th International Symposium on Flatworm Biology. The conference took place from the afternoon of 1 September to the afternoon of 4 September 2026 at the Alte Mensa on Wilhelmsplatz, near Göttingen city centre.

The scientific programme included sessions on the cell biology of flatworms, the cell biology of parasites, regeneration, genomics and taxonomy/systematics, and provided a comprehensive and fascinating overview of the diverse fields of flatworm research.

Poster presentations were held covering all areas of flatworm research, including cell and developmental biology, regeneration, parasitology, genomics, and taxonomy/systematics.

We hope that all participants found the conference an exciting and stimulating experience.
