With a bachelor’s degree in neurogenetics from the University of Regensburg, I moved to Vienna to delve deeper into neuroscience and developmental biology. My fascination with regenerative biology was sparked during my time at the Tanaka Lab, where I investigated the regenerative capacities of the axolotl brain. In my project, I developed and refined methods for cellular labelling of neuronal cells in both the axolotl brain and embryonic tissues, aiming to better understand the mechanisms of neuronal regeneration.

Currently, my research focuses on the principles of embryonic development and the potency of neoblasts in the marine planarian Camerata robusta. Through this work, we aim to uncover key insights into stem cell dynamics and tissue regeneration.
