My scientific journey so far has been one of exploration, moving from biochemistry to biotechnology and now to molecular biology. I began with a bachelor's degree in biochemistry from the University of Delhi, where I worked on developing novel assays for hemoglobin estimation. I then pursued a masters in biotechnology at the Delhi Technological University, where I worked on drug discovery for Parkinson's.
In my quest to delve deeper into understanding molecular mechanisms I moved to Germany, where I joined the IMPRS for Molecular Biology in Göttingen. During my second master's thesis at the Rink Lab, I investigated anterior-posterior regeneration in the catenulid Stenostomum brevipharyngium. Captivated by the fascinating biology of planarians and the intricacies of regeneration, I decided to continue in the Rink Lab. Currently as a PhD candidate in the lab, I am investigating the molecular mechanisms underlying gut branching in planarians.
