Saba grew up in Iran, Dubai and Germany.

She moved to England for her undergraduate degree, where she obtained her B.Sc. in Applied Medical Sciences from University College London. She then obtained the Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds PhD fellowship and stayed at UCL to complete her PhD on stem cells and cellular senescence in pituitary development and tumourigenesis.

She joined the Schuh Lab in November 2022 to study age-related decline in female fertility.
