I'm responsible for the RNAi Screening at the Department of Tissue Dynamics and Regeneration. My scientific career can be characterized by two words change and challenge. Research interests and, hand in hand with it, model organisms were changing all my scientific life. It all started with the biochemical characterization of filamentous fungi (BSc/MSc). Then the molecular characterization of post-translational modifications of a tumor marker in cancer cells took place (Ph.D.), followed by a study of early embryos in a transgenic mouse model (Postdoc). Coming to the Rink department, I switched the scientific area and the model organism again, looking forward to opening new worlds in planarian science.
