Bioreactor Facility
Our mission
We scale up our researchers’ established processes reliably and efficiently.
What we offer
Optimal, controlled growth conditions and a standardized harvesting routine for microbial cells. Production takes place in a 150-liter or 300-liter fermenter (INFORS-HT) with integrated cell separation. Only batch fermentations are carried out. We use EVE Process Software for process control and data acquisition, enabling precise monitoring and documentation.
Procedure
Interested groups or departments contact us directly for detailed process planning and scheduling. We take care of the entire fermentation process – from filling and sterilizing the equipment to harvesting and transferring the cells.
Cost information
The requesting group or department is responsible for the costs of consumables.
The Bioreactor Facility is part of the Department of Molecular Biology headed by Patrick Cramer.
