Ritabhas received his Bachelor’s degree in microbiology from St. Xavier’s College, India. He completed his Masters (Research) from the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai where he worked on the regulation of autophagy in C.elegans neurons via the kinesin motor KIF1A. Thereafter, he joined the International Max Planck Research School (IMPRS) for Molecular Biology in which he underwent a lab rotation in the Schuh lab. Fascinated by cell biology and microscopy, he joined the Schuh lab for his PhD, where he investigates the role of cilia in mammalian ovaries.
