Mathilde is from France and obtained her PhD in 2022 in the laboratory of Bernard de Massy at the Institute of Human Genetics, National Scientific Research Centre, Montpellier, France. During her PhD, she studied the molecular mechanisms involved in male meiotic recombination. After a brief adventure in the world of butterfly wing patterns in Arnaud Martin's laboratory, Mathilde realised that she was more than ever passionate about biological questions related to reproduction. In 2024, Mathilde joined the Schuh laboratory as a postdoctoral researcher, where she will study oogenesis and ageing using microscopy.
