Marios began his scientific career with an integrated Master’s degree at the University of Ioannina in Greece. During this time, he was fascinated by Cell and Reproductive Biology and conducted his Master’s Thesis on DNA damage repair mechanisms in mammalian oocytes. Since then, he has also completed research internships at the Vienna Biocenter and the Centre for Genomic Regulation in Barcelona. He has now joined the Schuh lab to start his PhD concerning mechanisms involved in oocyte division.
