Zahra Fakhraei Ghazvini

Zahra received her bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Tehran, Iran in 2021, graduating with the Exceptional Talents Award. She then moved to Göttingen to join the IMPRS Molecular Biology MSc/PhD program, where she completed her master’s thesis in the lab of Marieke Oudelaar at the Max Planck Institute for Multidisciplinary Sciences, studying mechanisms of enhancer-promoter interactions using high resolution 3C methods. Since fall 2023, Zahra is a joint PhD candidate in the Schuh lab and Oudelaar lab. She is interested in investigating the dynamics of chromatin architecture during oocyte development.
