NGS Sequencing
Our mission
We provide on-site NGS sequencing and support users in experimental design for non-standard workflows.
What we offer
We sequence user-provided samples on-site on our mid-output Illumina sequencer or Nanopore devices. Our current instruments are an Illumina NextSeq2000, Oxford Nanopore Technologies PromethION 2 Solo and MinION, and Agilent Fragment Analyzer for NGS library quality control. The facility is on the Fassberg Campus and is a part of the Department of Molecular Biology.
How we work
The user delivers samples for sequencing, which will be sequenced by the facility and converted to FASTQ files or equivalent. This data will be available for download by the user from our server. The user’s research group carries the cost of consumables for sequencing.
We provide support with quality control of samples, but hands-on experimental support or support with data analysis is currently limited to collaboration-based projects.
We also provide support in experimental design for non-standard workflows.
