Antonina Wellecke

Antonina studied Biotechnology at the Leningrad State University named after A.S.Pushkin. At the Developmental Biology lab of the All-Russian Research Institute of Genetics and Breeding of Farm Animals, she gained first experiences with working with pig oocytes. Antonina then moved on to study Developmental Biology at the University of Göttingen. Being fascinated by oocytes and meiosis, she already joined the Schuh lab for a lab rotation and later for her MSc thesis. Antonina is now a PhD student investigating aneuploidy in mammalian embryos.
