Equal Opportunities - Diversity

The MPI-NAT supports employees regardless of gender, nationality, religion, disability, age, cultural origin, sexual identity, pregnancy, motherhood, fatherhood and marital status. The cutting-edge research that is carried out at the institute is based on the diversity of our employees.

Diversity Charter

In March 2010, the Max Planck Society signed the Diversity Charter initiative. Its declared aim is to take the diversity of modern society into account in companies and public institutions. A climate of acceptance, mutual trust and awareness of the uniqueness of each individual should be created.

All employees should be valued regardless of gender, age, disability, sexual orientation and identity, religion or worldview, ethnic origin and nationality. Open and individual interaction with one another is often prevented by prejudice and stereotyping.

The "Project Implicit" includes various association tests on various social issues, developed by researchers from Harvard University, the University of Virginia and the University of Washington.
