Karl Friedrich Bonhoeffer Award Lecture

Seit Dezember 2004 laden wir regelmäßig renommierte Wissenschaftler*innen ein, in der Karl Friedrich Bonhoeffer Lecture über ihre neuesten Forschungsergebnisse zu berichten. Seit dem Jahr 2016 wird diese Reihe als Karl Friedrich Bonhoeffer Award Lecture weitergeführt.

Mit dieser Vortragsreihe würdigen wir herausragende Forscher*innen für ihre wissenschaftlichen Erfolge. Die Auszeichnung ist mit der Verleihung einer Medaille und, seit 2016, mit einem Preisgeld von 10.000 Euro verbunden.

Die interdisziplinäre Vortragsreihe wurde zu Ehren des Physiko-Chemikers Karl Friedrich Bonhoeffer (1899-1957) ins Leben gerufen. Als einer der ersten ließ Bonhoeffer die naturwissenschaftliche Interdisziplinarität lebendig werden, indem er physikalisch-chemische Methoden auch zur Lösung biologischer Fragestellungen anwandte.
