Canteen at the Max Planck Campus
Dear guests, the canteen under the management of Uwe Krüger is closing at the end of the year.
We regret this very much, but we also see the economic reasons for this decision in the form of the Corona crisis and the rise in food prices due to the war in Ukraine.
However, as we continue to see the great benefit of a canteen at the Fassberg and City Campus for our employees and guests, we are currently looking for a successor. An invitation to tender has already been launched and we will inform you as soon as there is any news. Nevertheless, it will unfortunately not be possible for us to offer a fully functional canteen as early as January. The reason for this is, among other things, necessary reconstruction work that is to be carried out in the kitchen. We are also working on some solutions for the interim period.
Please also note the following information regarding the end of the year:
As of Monday, November 28, the canteen will only offer “food-to-go”. The reason for this is the staff situation of the facility shortly before its closure. However, the dining hall will remain open for you.
On Friday, December 16, the cafeteria will be open for the last time.
Monday - Friday: 8:00 am - 2:30 pm
Lunch: 11:30 am - 2:00 pm
If you do not wish to eat on site, Mr Krüger will continue to offer all dishes for take-away in sustainable, biodegradable packaging.
You are welcome to use the seats in the cafeteria and on the terrace for eating, but please follow the rules of distance and hygiene to protect other people.
The Espresso Bar remains closed from 2 June, the coffee machine there, however, will still be available. Additionally, the Coffee machine in the canteen can be used again with coffee cups
