I studied microbiology at the University of Havana, Cuba. After completing my BSc degree, I studied biochemistry at the Ruhr University Bochum with a focus on ‘proteins in biomedicine’. During my MSc thesis, I worked on the non-invasive diagnosis of urothelial carcinoma and drug resistance in breast cancer therapy.
My professional skills lie in the areas of cell culture, molecular biology, microbiology, and microscopy. I am also interested in all topics related to ecological sustainability. In February 2024, I joined the Lorenz lab, supporting research work in different projects.
