I’m a Belgian PhD student in the Rink lab. I completed both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Biochemistry, Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of Namur (Belgium). I did my Master thesis in the Hallez Lab where I studied a hybrid histidine kinase involved in the regulation of the cell cycle and development of Caulobacter crescentus.I also had the opportunity to work as a Research student in D. Hermand’s Lab on the reciprocal regulation of the TOR pathway and the tRNA modifying enzyme Elongator to guide nutrient dependent cell-fate in fission yeast. I became interested in transcriptional regulatory elements while performing an internship in the Ahringer Lab (Gurdon Institute, Cambridge) and decided to continue working on them for my PhD. I joined the Rink Lab in 2019 where I will focus on the identification of gene regulatory networks (GRNs) implicated in planarian regeneration. In my spare time, I like to go rock climbing and play the violin.
