Barbara Myck
Position: BSc Exchange Student
Home town: Szczecin, Poland
Free time favorites: climbing, hiking, karaoke
I am completing two bachelor’s degrees at the University of Warsaw, Poland, one in Medical Chemistry and the other in Biotechnology. In Warsaw, I am part of the research group of Prof. Maria Górna’s 'Go!RNA Structural Biology Group’, where I focused on protein purification and investigated the interaction between the E3 ubiquitin ligase KLHDC2 and a putative substrate. I am currently an Erasmus+ exchange student at the University of Göttingen. I joined the Lorenz Lab to further pursue my interest in molecular biology and am part of an exciting project investigating the TKUL protein (a virulence factor of the parasite Leishmania). Outside the lab I enjoy climbing, hiking and will never turn down a karaoke night with friends!
