Fitore grew up in Gjakovë, Kosova. She went to Tirana, Albania for undergraduate studies, receiving a Master’s degree in Pharmacy (2014). She then pursued two additional MSc degrees in Toxicology from University of Birmingham, UK (2016) and Clinical Embryology at the University of Valencia, Spain (2017). For graduate studies she elucidated male infertility phenotype(s) in rodents associated with loss-of-function mutations in Prdm9 gene, obtaining a PhD in molecular biology and genetics from Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic (2021). Fitore joined the Schuh lab in May 2022 to continue her postdoctoral research into the biological pathways that regulate female fertility.

Fitore has been awarded an EMBO postdoctoral fellowship.
